Connect your AI assistant to The Doc Rocket

Once connected, your assistant can search our template catalog, pull up document details, and list the documents you've purchased — all from inside the chat.

You'll sign in with your Doc Rocket account the first time the assistant connects.

1 — connect your assistant

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT's connector settings and turn on Developer mode. If that option isn't there, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Open the "New plugin" dialog.
  3. Name it The Doc Rocket and paste the MCP server URL above into the URL field.
  4. Review the details, check "I understand and want to continue" (ChatGPT shows this for every custom connector), then click Create.
  5. Enable The Doc Rocket from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to find you a document — e.g. "search The Doc Rocket for a mutual NDA".

Claude

  1. Open the connector dialog — the name and URL are filled in for you.
  2. Review the details and click Add.
  3. If the pre-filled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose "Add custom connector", name it The Doc Rocket, and paste the MCP server URL above.
  4. Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use The Doc Rocket.

Claude Code

  1. Run this one line in a terminal:
  2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm The Doc Rocket is connected. Sign in there if it asks.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use The Doc Rocket.

Other MCP clients

  1. Open your client's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it and paste the MCP server URL above.
  4. Finish any sign-in or authorization prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use the app.

2 — refresh after the app changes

A connected assistant remembers the tool list from when it connected. After we ship updates, refresh the connection to get the latest tools.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select The Doc Rocket.
  2. Scroll to "Information" and click Refresh.
  3. ChatGPT can't update an existing app's URL — if it changed, delete the app and repeat the connect steps above with the latest URL.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use The Doc Rocket.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select The Doc Rocket.
  2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. Claude can't update an existing connector's URL — if it changed, remove it and repeat the connect steps above.
  4. Ask Claude to use The Doc Rocket.

Claude Code

  1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest tools when it connects.
  2. If the URL changed, run claude mcp remove the-doc-rocket, then run the install command above again.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use The Doc Rocket.

Other MCP clients

  1. Open the client's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. Select the connection you created for The Doc Rocket.
  3. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  4. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
